My name is Kelsy. Of the things I love most, cooking, eating and growing food are right up top. Exploring and understanding food/plants feels natural and satisfying. I’m trying to spend more time doing things I enjoy, and so here we are.
I have an inherited (verging on compulsive) affinity for condiments, spices, sauces and other flavor-boosting agents. I like to explore the world of culinary medicine, thinking about how what we eat and grow treats and supports us, using whatever I have readily available along with ingredients chosen for particular properties.
This is a unique moment for me, one that affords freedom and circumstances that support creativity and reflection… If that doesn’t scream BLOG, what does? This is also an attempt at accountability–I have had this intention for 3 years, it’s probably time to do something about that (or get off the pot).
Other things I like (a.k.a. other things I may feel the need to share): animals (especially my new puppy & kitten), adventures, novelty, sanctuary, live music, beer, cheese, cheese adventures.
